Students With Special Needs
- Students who are moderately mentally challenged (55 to 70 IQ). (Programs: Employment Services Program and Community Access Program)
- Students who have a physical impairment, such as visual impairment
Students Whose English Or Academics Need To Improve
- Students whose English as a second language skills are very poor and need more time to develop (Program: English as a Second Language)
- Students who have identified an occupational goal but lack one or more of the required high school prerequisite courses. (Programs: Academic Upgrading or University Prep)
Students Who Are Ready To Enter A Professional Program
- Students who have identified an occupational goal that is in line with one of Columbia College’s professional programs and have obtained the academic prerequisite courses needed to enter. (Programs: see Professional Programs listed in Academic Calendar)
Students Who Wish To Enter University
- Students who wish to complete their first two years of university study in one of the related professional programs offered at Columbia College and who would be more comfortable in smaller classes with more faculty support. (Programs: see Professional Programs listed in Academic Calendar)
